About Me
Areas of Expertise
Working with LGBT clients, their families, allies and friends is a specialty of mine. I am thoroughly trained in treating clients who struggle with their sexual and/or gender identities or with sexuality in general. I am well-connected in the community and can provide my clients with referrals to other LGBT-friendly professionals (endocrinologists, psychiatrists, physicians, etc.).
I also work with clients and families who are struggling with chronic and terminal illness, disabilities, and the recent or imminent death of a loved one. I help my clients to cope with the stresses imposed upon them by illness, enhance their immune systems, and improve the quality of their lives.
Education
- Master’s Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy, California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University
I chose CSPP specifically because of its emphasis on cultural diversity and inclusiveness and its commitment to producing psychotherapists who are well-trained at providing culturally-competent psychotherapy to diverse populations.

- Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Pepperdine University

- Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, University of California, Irvine
Experience
The clinical portion of my training was conducted at the LGBT Center, OC. There I received unparalleled training working with clients of every creed, color, socio-economic-status, legal status, sexual and gender identity, etc. The training was so excellent that I continued it for a year after it was completed.
I have spent thousands of hours volunteering at the AIDS Services Foundation (ASF) Orange County and at Companion Home Health & Hospice in Orange and I received training in psychoneuroimmunology from the late Dr. Carl Simonton, a pioneer of mental and physical health.
